THE DISPUTE BETWEEN THE TRADITIONAL TRINITY GROUP AND THE ONENESS PENTECOSTAL GROUP CAN BE SOLVED IN THE REVELATION THEORY

BOTH THE TRADITIONAL TRINITARIANS AND THE ONENESS GROUPS ARE WRONG.

In this regard, there are some major points of consideration. They include some clear facts such as: God is one person; there is Creator-Creation Distinction; the need of reconciling the Oneness of God and the Plurality of God Persons; there is One God but has many Names and many levels of God-Revelation; God is immortal, immutable and is not a Man, but can reveal Himself as a man for man and die.

Both the traditional trinitarians and the oneness groups have theoretical problems in reconciling the oneness of God and the multiplicity of the God persons. The traditional Trinity people cannot say God is one person. And the oneness people cannot say that the Biblical revelation of God now has 3 God persons.  The traditional Trinitarians think that the 3 persons constitute the permanent structure of God. On the other hand, the Oneness groups think that the trinitarian revelation is unreal and not real persons. Hence both are wrong, and their arguments are not convincing. Both believe in the deity of Jesus Christ. But the manner in which they justify it, neither fit human logic nor the logic of the Scripture. Both the traditional trinitarians and the oneness group are saying the same thing at different frequency and wavelength, but giving different justifications. Because if Father is the only true God as both claim, then somehow the Father has to become the Son in Jesus. Thus, trinity ultimately becomes the same as Oneness. But both are wrong as God is different from the Father as I have easily proved (Ref page). Hence both trinity and oneness can stop fighting between them, as it is meaningless and harmful to both. In fact, BOTH ARE WRONG, and both need significant modification in their theological approach.

Both the traditional trinity and oneness groups contradict each other.

The essential difference between Modalism and the traditional trinity is that in modalism, the three members of the godhood never exist at the same time, and in the traditional trinity, they always co-exist at the same time, without beginning and without end, forming the very structure and anatomy of God. Thus, the traditional trinity invites the accusation of tritheism from modalism. Modalism fails because it fails to recognize the Biblical reality that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are indeed three distinct real persons for a particular duration, as the revelations of the one and the same God. As they are the revelations of the same God, some attributes and functions can be common, but there are sufficient distinctions to make them differently identifiable for the creative and redemptive work. But the fact that the distinction exists among the 3 persons during the Bible age, does not mean that it is so for all the eternity without beginning and without end.
