BIBLICAL CHRISTIANITY AND PSYCHOLOGY ARE OPPOSITES. “I contend that INTEGRATING THE TWO IS SIMPLY NOT POSSIBLE because psychology is rooted in humanism, it opens the DOOR TO SATANIC INFLUENCE, and it offers a faulty view of self that ultimately depreciates the value of Christ’s completed work on the cross… since psychology is firmly rooted in the soil of humanism, it is obvious that psychology and the Bible APPROACH THE ISSUE OF SOLVING THE HUMAN PROBLEMS FROM TWO OPPOSITE AND MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE POLES (Ed Burkley p. 238). William Kilpatrick, Associate professor of Educational psychology at Boston College says: “PSYCHOLOGY AND RELIGION ARE COMPETING FAITHS. If you seriously hold to one set of values, you will logically have to reject the other… I was also unaware of the GROWING DISCREPANCY between my psychological creed and my religious one. The fact that such discrepancy existed was muffled by the noise of many clerical voices lifted in praise of psychology. A priest introduced me to the writings of Carl Rogers, and a minister suggested I read Maslow and Fromm…TRUE CHRISTIANITY DOS NOT MIX WELL WITH PSYCHOLOGY. When you try to mix them, you often end up with a WATERED-DOWN CHRISTIANITY INSTEAD OF A CHRISTIANIZED PSYCHOLOGY. But the process is SUBTLE and is rarely noticed” (quoted by Ed Burkley p. 182 from William Kilpatrick, Psychological Seduction, Thomas Nelson Publishers, Nashville, 1983. pp. 14-23).

NEW AGE INFILTRATES INTO CHURCH THROUGH PSYCHOLOGY. The infiltration and spread of PSYCHOLOGICAL THEORIES BASED ON PANTHEISTIC AND MYSTICAL ASSUMPTIONS INTO CHRISTIAN THEOLOGY paved way for some commonality among the Christian as well as non-Christian religious denominations through their artificially generated common belief in the infinite potential of human mind, self-realization etc. The proclamation of SELF-GLORIFICATION acquired legitimacy within the Church through the so-called Christian PSYCHOLOGISTS WHO SUBVERTED THE CHRISTIAN VALUES under the smokescreen of self-realization, mind power, self-improvement, visualization, and inner healing techniques. Thus, they have subtly succeeded in inspiring the EVIL SPIRITS OF ‘SELFISHNESS’, ‘EGO’, ‘I WILL’, ‘I AM’, etc. prompted by evil forces. The ecumenical goal of global unity is promoted through various kinds of common spiritual experiences. Gradually there emerged many false prophets and false teachers who used the power of POSITIVE THINKING AND VISUALIZATION in their ministry of healing, signs and wonders. They mislead the people with the false promises of prosperity and miracles. They are promoting FAITH IN MIRACLES. In fact, it is the lack of true faith in Christ which makes man to go after miracles to the extent of being materialistic. In effect they are agents and proponents of some mystical belief systems attempting to introduce such practices into the Christian life and thought. Exponents of visualization believe that since human MIND HAS INHERENT IN ITSELF UNLIMITED POTENTIALITIES whatever man imagines could be achieved. They believe that UNCONSCIOUS MIND can turn wishes into realities if the wishes are strong enough. The concept is based on the UNPROVED THEORIES of unconscious mind. They emphasize on positive thinking and believe that negative thinking is destructive to success and self-esteem. They believe that through DREAMING POSITIVELY ONE CAN INCUBATE FUTURE, HATCH RESULTS. They make people believe that faith is a force which make things happen. Hence they have FAITH IN THEIR OWN FAITH, NOT FAITH IN GOD. They think that God must answer their payer whether He wills it or not.  SELF ESTEEM OR PRIDE OR EGO is the basic tenet of their doctrine. It is OPPOSITE to the Biblical doctrine that we must deny or CRUCIFY THE SELF so that Christ can take its place. These so-called Christian preachers attempt to be like god, a feeling that I am god. They maintain a PETTY-GOD SYNDROME. They believe that man is in God's own class, and has   access to the same spiritual laws. They falsely and unnecessarily believe that by using these powers they can conquer the world. Thus, they are mentally prepared for conquering the world for antichrist.

PSYCHOLOGY DISPLACES GOSPEL PREACHING THROUGH SECULARIZED COUNSELLING. Psychology is given the prestige of being scientific and value-free or neutral. Hence it is welcome to the church. It enters the church and introduces the techniques of sorcery and the causing some visible revival with healings and anointing. The Trojan horse of psychology has got into almost all the denominations through the use of various SELF-IMPROVEMENT AND SPIRITUAL TECHNIQUES. The influence of FREUD AND JUNG IN THE CHURCHES more than Christ is something which they have not recognized. Such pagan influences are difficult to be recognized than the false teachings of the cults. This is accomplished by the introduction of UNCHRISTIAN SECULAR PSYCHOLOGICAL CONCEPTS INTO CHRISTIAN COUNSELING. Christian psychologists are trying to integrate opposing assumptions about God, man, sin, salvation etc. Many so-called CHRISTIAN MINISTERS ARE SO BRAINWASHED BY PSYCHOLOGY that when their psychological assumptions are challenged they get IRRITATED AND ANGRY.  The subversion has reached a stage where they are very vocal in DEFENDING FREUD, BUT NOT CHRIST. Theology is redefined in terms of psychology. New birth is nothing but a positive self-image. The subverted church is trying its best to get a market share of psychological counseling. The church lost its torch and light that it was so blind to realize that what it thought to be the PRIZE SHEEP WAS INDEED THE WOLF. “If one accepts the logical conclusions of psychology, sin must be reduced to medical dysfunctions and a person can no longer be held responsible for his behavior, his ethical conduct, his thought life, or his morality. SINCE MAN IS ILL RATHER THAN DISOBEDIENT TO GOD, HE DOES NOT NEED SALVATION, but improved self-esteem. If psychology is necessary to transform the human soul, Jesus Christ becomes a quaint relic of religious antiquity and the church must be recognized as an obsolete cultural vestige that man has outgrown. If psychologists can duplicate the fruit of the Spirit, sanctification is unnecessary and the Holy Spirit is irrelevant. If psychological counsel is necessary for solving the problems of life, the Bible must give way to The New Harvard Guide to Psychiatry. Pastors should sneak away quietly and find an honest job” (Ed Burkley pp. 203-204).  Though psychology could give some helpful ideas, it does not add any essential or substantial truth about the behavior of man than is revealed in the Bible.  We should look at psychology from the glasses of Bible, not vice versa. Christian counseling, to the extent it is being conformed to the standards of secular psychology, to that extent it is unacceptable and untrustworthy.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY DECEIVES THE CHRISTIANS. The so-called Christian psychology rather PSYCHOLOGIZED CHRISTIANITY deceives the Christians through ways such as these: quoting Scripture out of context, distorting Scripture by poor standards of interpretation, denying the Scripture, adding or deleting from the Scripture, redefining God, man, and theological terms, claims of new revelations, claims of unquestionable authority by the leaders (Ed Burkley p. 231-232). The CHRISTIANIZED SORCERERS think that Christ entered into the collective unconscious of the mankind. Through visualization you can tap the Christ force from your unconscious mind.
