23 IDEOLOGICAL ATTACKS ON THE CHRISTIAN FAITH, BY CRITICS AND SKEPTICS
Number 1. I don’t believe, there is a God.
Number 2. I know I am not perfect, but I am not all that bad either. What is the big deal about sin? I believe, God will weigh my good deeds, against my bad deeds, and I will come out fine.
Number 3. Aren’t there many ways to get to heaven, through the different world religions?
Number 4. Christianity is based on the supernatural miracles, like the Virgin birth and bodily resurrection of Jesus, which are not reasonable for the modern mind to accept.
Number 5. How can, a kind loving God, allow so much suffering, evil and injustice in the world?
Number 6. If God is so good, and loving, why does He send people to hell?
Number 7. I don’t believe in heaven or hell; we just cease to exist when we die.
Number 8. Is it fair, for people who have never heard of Jesus Christ, to be condemned to hell?
Number 9. God is going to save the elect. If I am one of the elect, then God will save me; If I am not, then it really doesn’t matter what I do.
Number 10. Won’t we get a second chance, after death, to be saved?
Number 11. Isn’t God going to save everybody, in the final analysis anyway?
Number 12. All the Christians I know are hypocrites; Why would I want to become one?
Number 13. Isn’t requiring only faith, for salvation too easy?
Number 14. What is the big deal about salvation? You may lose it later.
Number 15. God is not a triune being.
Number 16. Jesus Christ is not the Jewish Messiah of the Old Testament.
Number 17. The New Testament documents are corrupt.
Number 18. The eyewitness accounts are not true.
Number 19. The Bible is not God’s inerrant word.
Number 20. The Bible is not scientifically true and accurate.
Number 21. Jesus did not claim to be God.
Number 22. Jesus did not rise with the physical body.
Number 23. Jesus never claimed to be Jehovah God.
All these arguments are wrong, and arise from inadequate understanding and logical reasoning.
