THE BIGGEST OFFER AND THE BIGGEST FAILURE
The biggest offer ever made was, was from the side of God. It is God giving Himself to mankind in Jesus Christ as an offering, for the salvation of mankind. And the biggest failure is from the human side. God in human form, is often rejected by man. And this is the most dangerous response. All need to be reconciled to God in Jesus, who is the manifestation of God Himself, who died on the cross. But many are denying and rejecting the self-emptied God in Jesus, who humbled Himself to the death of the cross. The self-emptied God in Jesus, does not have the appearances of God.
Let me illustrate. The father who went away from the house for job, was attacked by thieves. He was brutally disfigured, lost his legs and hands, and was hospitalized. His children went to the hospital, and saw a person who does not look like their father. The father had a different appearance. And they failed to infer rightly. They disowned him, but enjoyed his property lived in their own way. They were brutally ungrateful and mistaken. This is the same kind of error, committed by those who reject the God in Jesus.
Philippians chapter 2, verses 6 to 11 say: who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
THE CRITICS MAKE WRONG INFERENCES. THEY FAIL TO MAKE RIGHT INFERENCES BASED ON THE WRITTEN WORD OF GOD. The Spirit of right inferences is essential for understanding the truth.
