ECUMENISM IS FOR UNITY WITHOUT JESUS AND HIS CLAIMS. ECUMENISM IS HYPOCRATICAL AT THE ROOTS. There is an ever-increasing cry for unity of all religions. But it is never proved that all religions are alike in their fundamental doctrines. ECUMENISM REJECTS JESUS CHRIST AND HIS GOSPEL. The emerging global spirituality does not allow place for the gospel message that Jesus Christ is the God and there is salvation in none other. Read Acts 4:10-12 and Phil 2:5-10. If we agree that He is just one of the gods, we are denying Him and calling a liar because He said “I am the truth” (Jn 14:6). The liberals do not believe that Jesus Christ is 100% truth, though at times they might agree for the sake of winning an argument.

The proponents of false unity emphasize on an artificial unity among organizations, denominations and even unbelievers WITHOUT EMPHASIZING THE NECESSITY OF FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST FOR TRUE UNITY. This is unbiblical (2Cor 6:14-16). They sacrifice truth in their effort to attain visible unity. Their intolerance towards visible disunity compels them to succumb to a “minimum program” approach to Christian faith and doctrine. In their preoccupation to deal with the socio-political problems, they have acquired a mentality of AVERSION, INTOLERANCE AND IMPATIENCE WITH THE TRUE BIBLICAL DOCTRINES. They feel that strict adherence to the doctrines divide people, and that only service can unify them. Their approaches to inter-religious dialogue invariably LEAD TO SYNCRETISM, RELATIVISM AND RELIGIOUS PLURALISM. In the guise of tolerance and humility, the ideology of religious pluralism has BECOME INTOLERANT AND EXCLUSIVISTIC OF ALL OTHER VIEWS. The “church” is being deceived by false ecumenism in the church. The world enters into the church and subverts the church through the false unity efforts that is going on within the Church.

Somehow many are falsely convinced that unity among them at any cost is the essential prerequisite for evangelism and that unity itself is the mission of the Church. Such pseudo unity perception is the greatest threat to evangelism. It has made unity itself the ultimate end. Hence the UNIFICATION OF THE RELIGIOUS GROUPS IS FALSELY CONSIDERED AS THE MISSION of the church. The contemporary false ecumenism is the embodiment of the DEGENERATION OF THE CONCEPT OF UNITY in Spirit to organizational unity. It is the solution of man, not of God. They think that without visible organizational union Church will collapse. Unity at any cost is their motto. Hence they are for unity even at the expense of Biblical doctrines. It is the MASTER STROKE OF DEVIL WHICH PLUNGED THE CHURCH DEEP INTO UNBELIEF. Emphasis is shifted from the Biblical mission of evangelism to efforts toward mobilizing a visible church organization. All energy is spent on the organizational affairs of the church. EVANGELISM WAS REPLACED BY CHURCH MANAGEMENT.

THERE IS A FALSE SENSE OF ACCOMPLISHMENT FOR THE ECUMENICALS. Devil gives the idea that division in the visible church is a hindrance to the Church work. Thus, devil enslaves them to the delusion that visible unity will promote the church mission. Such ecumenical unity is in fact against gospel. Those who are not willing to take the risk of being the disciples of Jesus Christ and preach the gospel, or those who do not have the revelation knowledge of Christ, but having only some information about Christ and Bible by means of flesh and blood, get addicted to attractive ideas like that of contemporary ecumenism and dialogues. Of course, this provides them with a safe way of getting the feeling of having done “something significant”.

The liberals falsely presuppose that the visible organizational unity of church is essential for effective witnessing and functioning. They falsely believe that the unity of the Church is not a gift of God, but something which has to be entirely brought into existence by human efforts. VISIBLE ORGANIZATIONAL UNITY OF THE CHURCH AND ALSO THE UNITY OF ALL OTHER RELIGIONS are their major objectives.

The liberals think that the purpose of God is this kind of unity and hence working against this His purpose would invite His wrath. They falsely consider the Church of Jesus Christ as a visible organizational set up. Hence they think that our visible disunity adversely affects the Christian mission and image among other communities. The trend towards the visible organizational unity of the church even at the expense of the biblical doctrines is a clear perversion. Such FALSE ECUMENISM IS THE GREATEST CHALLENGE to the church today.  But they think that their efforts are from God. It is possible to have organizational unity without any oneness in Christ at all.

The ecumenicals falsely presuppose that only if they work for the unity, God the Father will answer Jesus' prayer for the unity. The rationale behind the ecumenical movement is the false presupposition that the mission of the Church will be effective only if there is visible organizational unity in the church and that this unity is something which must be brought about by human efforts. HENCE TO THE ECUMENICALS UNITY IS ALL IMPORTANT, AND THE PROCLAMATION OF GOSPEL AND CONVERSION DISRUPT THAT UNITY.THUS THE MOST VIRULENT ATTACK AGAINST THE PROCLAMATION OF GOSPEL COMES FROM THOSE WHO BELIEVE THAT THE ONLY HOPE OF THIS WORLD IS THE VISIBLE ORGANIZATIONAL UNITY OF THE CHURCH.

This kind of an ecumenical project is sustained by the ideology of theological liberalism, which accomplishes the task of brainwashing and enslaving the people through misinterpreting the Bible. They even consider the PROCLAMATION OF THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST AND CONVERSION AS DISRUPTING UNITY OF THE CHURCH AND THE UNIFICATION OF THE CHURCH WITH OTHER RELIGIONS. They believe that the Kingdom of God can be brought about only by the cooperation of the men of all religions. Such false teachings have affected the churches in varying degrees.
