The God of the Bible said: I AM THAT I AM. Mathematically, God is eternally one with respect to His person and the essence of His revelation. God is one. God said: I am that I am. Hence the 3 persons of the Trinity, the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, are not 3 Gods. Trinity is the self-revelation of God. But as the Scripture says, great is the mystery of Godliness. Spiritual things are spiritually discerned. And hence the materialist man cannot understand many of the important things pertaining to the nature of God.

God is a spirit person. The substance of God person is: spirit, light, life, truth, power and love. God is a spirit and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (Jn 4:24). This statement means that God is totally a Spirit and only a spirit. God is immaterial (not of matter), invisible, alive and person. He is not limited by material issues or concerns. Hence God cannot be truthfully represented by any created thing or any man-made image. Hence the Bible considers the attempt to create any such project is blasphemous idolatry (Ex 4:4-6). As God is SPIRIT, He has no limitations of matter and is not limited by the material and spatial restrictions. Jesus said again after His resurrection: "A spirit has not flesh and bones as you see me have" (Luke 24:39). Consequently, man is not fully a spirit while in the body. It is better to say, man has a spirit. GOD IS LOVE: God’s law of love is intertwined in universe. "He that loveth not, knoweth not God; for God is love." (I John 4:8). "God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him." (I John 4:16). Love is the giving of oneself to meet the needs of another. The fact that God is love does not invalidate the law of punishment for sin. God’s holiness and justice demand that all sin must be punished. But God’s love provided a plan of redemption and salvation for the sinful people. The ultimate demonstration of how much God loves every one of us is Christ dying on the cross for us. It was the love of God that He appeared in Jesus Christ to take up the punishment of sin on the cross: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” (Jn 3:16). GOD IS LIGHT: 1 Jn 1:5: This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. God who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has ever seen, nor can see (1 Tim 6:16). GOD IS TRUTH: Everything that God says and does conforms perfectly to ultimate reality. God’s knowledge, declarations and representations eternally conform to reality. Everything that proceeds from God is true. Because God is true, He can be fully trusted. GOD IS LIFE: Life is inherent in God Himself. He is the sustainer of all life. He is the giver and taker of all life. He is not an idea or principle, but a living being.

THE GOD OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH IS ONE PERSON, NOT THREE. The major theme in the doctrine of God is oneness. The clear statement of the Bible I AM WHO IAM, sufficiently proves that God is one Person. The Bible does not say God is 3 persons or that God is not one person. Hence it is best to consider the One God as One person.

THE GOD OF THE BIBLE IS THE ULTIMATE IDEAL SUPER-PERSON - INFINITE INVISIBLE SPIRIT. God is one in person and substance. He is infinitely indivisible, invisible, transcendent, immanent, eternal spirit. An impartial examination of the essential attributes of God which are explicitly and directly affirmed in the Bible proves that God is one in person and substance. God is one invisible person, infinite and eternal without beginning and without end. God reveals Himself in person to man. God is the great I AM THAT I AM, who is perfect in Himself. God is love, perfect in Himself without needing anything or anyone for Him to be perfect in all things. He is able to do anything by Himself. God is the original unrevealed God person, the true invisible Godhead. This supreme God is immutable, unaffected by any of His actions such as creation or salvific redemption. But in accordance with His own sovereign plan, God can reveal Himself in diverse manners. In the like manner it is probable that God manifested Himself as the Yehowah revelation. This led to many Theophanies or God appearances including the Trinity. The eternal God is not constrained by time in any sense. He is not affected by past present future dimensions of time. Hence a working definition of the eternal infinite supernatural God who is Spirit, cannot be simple and understandable for the finite natural beings. GOD IS THE ULTIMATE PERSON. HEB 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high. THUS, THE BIBLE REVEALS GOD AS A PERSON OR THE SUPER PERSON. Person is the highest and most desirable form of existence. God self-subsists as a simple supreme personal reality. Everywhere in the Bible we read: “God loves;” “God says;” “God does.” Every essential thing that we attribute to a person can be attributed to God. God feels, thinks, loves and forgives. The Bible declares that God is a holy and righteous being. IN THE GODHEAD OR IN THE VERY ESSENCE OF GOD THERE IS ONLY ONE PERSON. God is numerically one person (Deut 6:41 Tim 2:5). God is a spirit. The essence, substance or basic quality of God is spirit. The Biblical term "Godhead" is used three times in the Scripture. "Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device" (Acts 17:29). GODHEAD IS USED IN REFERENCE TO THE SUPREME GOD. "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse” (Rom 1:20). Col 2:9 “In him [Christ] dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.” Col 1:19, “God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him [Christ].” This does not exclude fact that the Father is also fully God or the Holy Spirit (the Helper) is fully God.

GOD IS ONE PERSON. THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD IN THE ENTIRE BIBLE. The Bible never speaks about 3 gods. And the Christians never believe in 3 gods. Christian faith is second to none in its monotheistic commitments. The Bible is consistent in its claim of monotheism, and has the most prolonged history of opposing polytheism, more than any other belief system. The oneness of God is a foundational doctrine in the Holy Bible. THE ONENESS OF GOD IS EVEN INFINITELY SUPERIOR THE ONENESS OF THE NUMERICAL ONE. “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one” (Deut 6: 4; 4: 35, 39; 32: 39). Jesus himself also recited it. Mark 12:28-30 “Which commandment is the most important of all?” Jesus answered, “The most important is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. (Eph. 4:4-6). THIS VERSE EXPLICITLY STATES THAT THERE IS ONLY ONE ALMIGHTY GOD. "You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder (James 2:19). GOD IS ESSENTIALLY HOMOGENEOUS UNDIVIDED AND INDIVISIBLE. God does not consist of parts, nor can He be broken down into various parts. God is one, and the only one. "That all the people of the earth may know that the Lord is God, and that there is none else" (Kings 8:50). Apart from Him there is no God. That there is but one God is furthermore taught by Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 44:6; John 17:3; 1 Cor. 8:4; 1 Timothy 1:17.

THE HISTORICAL TRACK RECORD OF THE TRUE GOD IS VERY IMPORTANT. The track record and historical relevance of the God candidate and truth claim is of utmost importance. Most credible kind of God is the one who has a historical involvement, claim to have created mankind, loved and cared for the mankind to such an extent that He even died for them. Such a maximum involvement is found only in the case of Jesus of the Bible. It is not the case of just sending a messenger for dying on the cross but God Himself appearing as a human being and dying on the cross. Mankind needs such a loving, kind, almighty, eternal, miracle working, forgiving, patient, sin problem solving God view. This is most worshipful kind of God. Hence Jesus is simply peerless.

GOD OF THE BIBLE IS THE HISTORICALLY MANIFESTED TRUE LIVING GOD. The Biblical God is the true living God. He has manifested Himself throughout the many centuries of history with powerful miracles and consistently progressive revelations.  He is not a mere word in a book or a bunch of philosophical arguments and speculations.  He is a living almighty person manifested in powerful actions.  He is the infinite divine person who has provided revelations since the dawn of human history.  He is light.  He is life.  He is alive.  He is infinite divine love.

THE MOST PROLONGED CONSISTENT HISTORICAL REVELATION OF THE BEST GOD PERSON IS IN THE BIBLE. HENCE THE ONLY TRUE GOD IS THE GOD OF THE BIBLE. Only in the Biblical Christian faith that the perfect character of God is revealed. The character of God is of supreme importance in determining which is the true God. The nature and CHARACTER OF THE GOD candidate is even more important than the nature and CHARACTER OF THE TRUTH CLAIMS or even any other subject thinkable to mankind. The nature of God whom people believe is of primary importance. Thinking correctly about God is of utmost importance because a FALSE IDEA ABOUT GOD IS IDOLATRY. God reproves the wicked man with the accusation: “You thought I was altogether like you.” (Ps 50:21).

AS GOD IS ONE PERSON, THE PLURALITY OF GOD PERSONS CAN ONLY BE ABOUT THE REVELATIONS OF THE SUPREME GOD. GOD IS A ONE SINGLE PERSON. God is not an impersonal force, essence or principle but a divine rational being who desires to communicate and commune with His creation. He is I AM WHO I AM or the eternal one. God as spirit is also a person. This concept is the best antidote to the pantheistic belief systems. God is a personal being in all his dealings with us. There is only one God, not three. The Bible reveals that Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are the way the one true God of the Bible is revealed during the creative and redemptive age.

THE QUESTION OF WHAT IS A PERSON AND WHAT ARE THE QUALITIES AND ATTRIBUTES OF BEING A PERSON, IS ALSO VERY SIGNIFICANT. Though no one can give a perfect definition of God, person etc. we can give reasonable descriptions about them. A person is a being who can express his intentions in words and acts. Person can respond to the words and actions of others. With person we can have relationship. And every person craves for relationship. So is God. The Biblical ideas sin, reconciliation, forgiveness, salvation etc. are clear expressions of these truths. A person exists and has identity; He is aware of his own existence and identity; He also recognizes the existence of other persons. A person can choose, decide, intend, plan etc. A single person cannot have two separate and distinct wills at the same time on the same subject. Separate wills imply separate persons. Person is a living being having the spirit soul and body with intelligence, conscience, consciousness or self-awareness, will and moral self-determination etc. Man can never make a person through science.

GOD IS AN INFINITE UNLIMITED SUPER PERSON. BUT THE YEHOVAH REVELATION OF GOD HAS 3 SUB-PERSONS. God qualifies as having personhood in that He exists, is self-aware, has identity, uses terms such as "me", "I am", "my," and possesses a will. So, the supreme God is one person. God is one person from eternity to eternity. God says I, in the Bible. Yehowah says we, let us, etc. and in the light of the trinity revelation as Father Son and Holy Spirit. The Bible does not say God is a person or 3 persons. But He says He is one and refers to I He We. All the usages in the Bible about God give us the feeling that God is a person like humans, but infinitely superior in qualities. Personhood is the highest state of identity. Man is in God’s image and hence man is a person.

MAN IS A FINITE PERSON WHO WAS CREATED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE IMAGE OF THE INFINITE GOD PERSON. AT THE SAME TIME MAN WAS CREATED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE IMAGE OF THE TRINUE REVELATION OF THE GOD ALSO. THAT IS WHY THE HUMAN PERSON HAS THE TRI-PERSONALTIY OF SPIRIT SOUL AND BODY. Man is in the image of God. God in his tri-personal manifestation created the tri-personal being man. Man is in the image God, means that man is a person after the personality of God. But God is a super person. Man is a lesser person with a God kind of spirit inside man. Even though we don’t understand how man is one, we acknowledge man as one person.

PERSONHOOD OF GOD THE SPIRIT. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (Jn 4:24). Heb 1:1-3 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and THE EXPRESS IMAGE OF HIS PERSON, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.

GOD IS A PERSON BECAUSE JESUS IS A PERSON. BECAUSE OF WHO HE IS, FULLY GOD AND FULLY HUMAN, THE LORD JESUS SHOWS THAT GOD IS PERSONAL. But when we say that God is a person, we do not constrain God to be a human being. All throughout the Bible, God is addressed with the personal pronouns He, Him, and His. Hence the God of the Bible is not a force. God has characteristics such as love and wrath which are quite personal. An impersonal force cannot create with a purpose. But man is created with the purpose of knowing and relating to the personal God. Jesus Christ is the true representation of God’s character and only in him we can personally contact with God.

JESUS AFFIRMS THE PURE MONOTHEISM OF THE OLD TESTAMENT. “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one…” “Well said, teacher,” the man replied. “You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him…” When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God…” [Mark 12:28-34]. Their core message was simple: there is one God Who is unlike His creation and He alone deserves our worship. Does it make sense that God would send countless Prophets, over a span of thousands of years, with a consistent message of pure monotheism, only to all of a sudden reveal that He is a Trinity, a radically different message which contradicts His previous Prophets’ teachings? GOD BY NATURE IS ONE PERSON. TRINITY IS ONLY HIS CONTEXTUAL REVELATION FOR THE CREATION OF THIS UINIVERSE AND REDEMPTION OF MANKIND.

GOD IS NOT PERMANENTLY STRUCTURED IN 3 PEERSONS. HENCE MOST CHRISTIANS BELIEVE THERE IS ONLY 1 GOD. But they do not know how to rightly explain the identity and relationship of Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit. Hence, some falsely desperately conclude that only the Father is God; Some others falsely conclude that there are 3 Gods. The solution is that the distinctive revelations of God are God, not Gods. God as the source is one and the same.

ONLY ONE GOD. The FIRST principle of the doctrine of the Trinity is that THERE IS ONLY ONE TRUE ETERNAL, LIVING GOD, the maker and sustainer of all things.  The doctrine of the Trinity is completely monotheistic and absolutely opposed to any form of polytheism. ALL THE SO CALLED "TRINITYS" IN THE PAGAN WORLD ARE BASED NOT ON ONE GOD IN THREE PERSONS, BUT THREE GODS IN THREE PERSONS. TRINITY IS NOT POLYTHEISM. When there is the conceptualization of more than one God at the same time, for a duration without beginning and without end, that is clearly polytheism.

THROUGH SUCH ERRORS OF THEOLOGY, CHRISTIANITY SUFFERED MUCH IDEOLOGICAL LOSS. THIS BECAME A GAIN FOR MANY FALSE RELIGIONS. The similarity among the groups such as Islam, Yehowah Witnesses, Oneness, and those who argue only Father is the only true God etc. is that they are all basically of the unitarian mindset. Hence, they all accuse the Biblical view of Trinity as polytheism.

THE KINDS OF UNIPERSONALISM LIKE UNITARIANISM DOES NOT FIT INTO THE BIBLE. According to UNITARIANISM, only either the Father or the Son is God. But this is doing violence the Bible texts. But the revelation theory proposed in this book is doing least violence to the Bible text. This is the fundamental proof that this view is the right view. Accordingly, the 3 persons are distinct from each other, as manifestations of God. Every revelation of the supreme God person can be perfectly personal. The theologians throughout the centuries have committed mistake when they thought that manifestations of God constitute the structure of the Godhead, without beginning and without end. But the truth was that God was manifesting Himself in diverse manners, yet Himself remaining supremely one and transcendent at the same time. 

MATHEMATICS IS THE TOKEN MANIFESTATION OF THE NATURE OF GOD. ONE GOD CAN MANIFEST HIMSELF IN INFINITE REVELATIONS OF HIMSELF. There is only one God. Likewise, Number 1 is the basic number. All other numbers are revelations of that number running into infinite numbers. Similarly, the one God can reveal Himself in the infinite varieties of His own persons, if He wants.
